Mike is a civil road designer and mine site designer for Rio Tinto in Perth, Western Australia.
He was referred to me by a mutual friend, his coach, after a short relationship break-up that left him anxious, concerned and lacking confidence. During our initial assessments, his stress levels were high; his sleep quality was poor. With the responsibilities of a high level of work, he was worried about his professional performance.
During our initial FREE assessment, his breathing efficiency was poor, perceived stress levels were high, and his self-esteem fell into the low category.
Mike signed up for the 12-week creative life leader mentorship program that expands on physical health and uses a psychological and alchemical approach to help you start living authentically and building a mindset radiating self-confidence. The goal is to start creating an authentic life vision whilst living a focused and energised life.
After the mentorship, Mike’s stress dropped by 65%, and his wellness score, including sleep quality, focus, and energy, increased by more than 50%. In addition, our work together gave his self-esteem a 54% boost.
As a result, Mike has made significant changes, and those around him are noticing. If you want to hear what this is like in words and how much that can change a person’s life in a few months, listen to what Mike has to say.

Ewan is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist on the Gold Coast in Australia.
He reached out to me on social media because he was struggling with sleep and was looking to get the extra edge in his recovery for exercise performance.
On our initial assessment, he scored rather poorly with his breathing efficiency despite being low stress and a highly fit individual. Meaning there was work to be done, and he would benefit from going through the basic breathing retraining package.
After six sessions together over eight weeks, Ewan noticed a significant improvement in his sleep and his ability to recover during and after exercise. Stating that his resting heart rate is getting the lowest it ever has during the day.
Here’s what he had to say about the coaching:

Dr Ash Hamilton is an osteopath and personal trainer over in Melbourne. He reached out to me after I was a guest on his podcast.
After seeing many of his patient’s issues coming about due to stress and breathing problems paired with the nature of having a busy lifestyle, he often struggled to switch off. He decided it was time for him to get control of his stress. To reduce the risk of burning out and manage his day to have sustainable and healthy performance.
During our initial FREE in-depth assessment, he scored 22/40, suggesting moderate perceptual stress. His BOLT score and exhale max test were 14 and 28, indicating poor breathing efficiency. He also scored poorly on wellness scales measuring sleep quality, fatigue, recovery from exercise and anxiety levels, making him an ideal candidate for the empowered performer program.
He decided to enrol on the eight week program, where we worked together once per week, using breathing protocols, sleep strategies and resilience training.
After eight weeks, his breathing efficiency scores and CO2 tolerance improved by 105% and 167%. Perceptual stress was reduced by 64%, with his fatigue, recovery and anxiety improving significantly.
His biggest takeaway was how much it’s had on his psychology and his ability to handle high-pressure situations. Another client has chosen to become an empowered performer. He agreed to provide feedback on the program, and here is what he had to say.

I can’t believe the changes I’ve had mentally.
Meet Steve, a Marine Scientist and family man based in Perth, WA. He was feeling burnout from his previous career, and after accepting a new job in a more senior role, the pressure of more responsibilities was daunting. He went through personal challenges, and the stress of stepping into a new company got to him.
As a result, he struggled to remain focused, and mental clarity was an issue, so he felt as if his mindset wasn’t in the best of places for the level up he wished to take. However, as a husband and father of three, he wanted the best for his family and decided to take action and get coaching to reach new performance levels.
During his initial in-depth assessments, his stress levels were high, with a score of 26/40, focus and clarity scores were poor, and his breathing efficiency could do with some improvement.
Following eight weeks of the empowered performer program, Steve has reduced his stress by 70% despite his workload and external pressures increasing “10 fold”. His ability to focus, mental clarity and productivity have been boosted by more than 50%, and he is enjoying the challenges presented to him at work.
Steve was an absolute pleasure to work with, and his progress was remarkable.
Here’s what he had to say about the program.

Martin’s Mentorship has literally changed my life!
Meet Ayrton, a personal trainer and strength & conditioning coach in Perth, Australia.
After a rough break-up, he found himself lost, struggling, not knowing what to do with his life and dealing with panic attacks.
He was stuck in a job that he did not enjoy but did not possess the confidence to quit his role and have his word about management.
Following 12 weeks of mentorship, he gained the confidence to quit his job and go after what he loved. He is now full-time self-employed. He currently works half the hours and earns twice as much.
More importantly, he has found love for himself and is now in a safe and secure relationship with a loving new partner.
Here’s what he had to say about the creative life leader mentorship

I’m just amazed at how much breathing properly can impact your life!
Meet Karen, a public servant for the Victorian state government in Australia.
Eight weeks ago, she was, on average, getting 2-3 hours per night of sleep, waking up feeling tired and unable to manage her anxiety. As a result, her breathing was erratic and shallow, and she could barely exercise without getting short of breath. Her coping mechanisms for all of this became surgery foods and coffee, and she struggled with weight management.
Left unsure what to do, Karen reached out, we jumped on a call to assess her current situation, and from that, I could see how I could help.
She underwent my empowered performer coaching program to help people build a practice and learn the skills to reduce stress and improve sleep quality.
She is now regularly sleeping 7-8 hours per night. Her energy levels have never been better, and she is no longer waking up during the night.
Her stress levels have reduced by 71%, she feels in complete control of her anxiety, and her breathing is functional.
Her ability to focus and be productive has improved, and she finds that she no longer reaches for sugary snacks as a distraction from stress because she has built a more healthy way to manage herself.
As a result, and a surprise even to myself. She has lost 6kg and is now exercising almost daily without any concern for her fitness or breathing.
In her words, a life-changing success

I have struggled with my sleep for years and tend to go through phases where I feel pretty anxious. In addition, my job is stressful especially working with patients.
Working with Martin has been a great help. I have learnt so much about how I cope with my stress. For example, I’ve always been healthy and active but did not realise how stressed I was and how my breathing impacted my anxiety.
I’ve come away with so many actionable tools and strategies that have helped improve my sleep quality and duration.I feel so much more well equipped to handle my stresses, and I can stay focused on the task at hand.
I love most about this program because Martin provides good scientific evidence to support it. I’d highly recommend it to anyone, especially those who work quite stressful jobs.

We had Martin present online to help our staff manage their stress. He was recommended by a managerial staff member who had previously been on one of his workshops. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the session, they found it really interesting and walked away with great tools to use. During the session, everyone noticed how much more relaxed they felt, and our team sent a big thank you for a great workshop. We look forward to having you again.

I struggled with performance anxiety for quite some time, mainly public speaking. Finally, it started getting worse to the point where even a conversation was beginning to feel like a performance at work, and there was only so much medication I could take.
I had recently been given a promotion and was about to be a Dad, and my stress levels were very high. I reached out to Martin confidentially, who gave me a comprehensive description of his services and truly believed his programme would help me, so I decided to take the plunge and give it a shot.
His 8-week programme has helped me maintain a reasonably normal response to stressful situations through the various breathing and meditation techniques and be more aware of myself and be present, which has ultimately improved my confidence with public speaking. Every time I start to get nervous, I can recognise it and immediately regulate my breathing. This has only come through practice and putting in the work which Martin guided me through.
In addition, my sleep and focus have improved, and I have automatically stopped snoring or breathing heavily, which my partner has greatly appreciated.
What was great about the programme was that Martin gave me a lot of breathing exercises to practice soon after my gym sessions, so it was easy to fit in and felt part of my training. As a result, I now go to the gym with the mindset of training my muscles and my nervous system.
I recommend this programme to anyone suffering from any type of anxiety. Give it a shot before you think about seeing a psychologist, as it will also save you a lot of money and give you tools you can use for the rest of your life.

Hey Martin, just wanted to let you know that the NSDR protocols and other recovery protocols you recommended have helped me drift back off to sleep during the night after feeding the baby. I find the recovery protocols great for the daytime. I’m feeling more energised, and my resting heart rate is down to 52bpm from 60bpm, so I’m much more rested and recovered. Your help has made such a difference already.
