Digital Nomads Sleep & Performance with Martin McPhilimey

I was recently on the podcast discussing Digital Nomads Sleep & Performance strategies. Given the fact that I have spent the last 15 months travelling the world consulting and coaching online as a digital nomad myself. I thought it would be a great idea to teach about sleep and stress and what I have learnt.

The first thing that came to mind is that Digital Nomads can live their life with very little structure, which may be due to the freedom to work on their own time. However, it’s not always best for health or performance.

For example, without structure, two elements tend to fall apart – Sleep and Focus.

Sleep is a behavioural process we go through, following day and night patterns. Travelling worldwide every few months means that the body needs to adjust to the timezone before one can get a good night’s rest. In this episode, we discuss ways to improve this.

We also discussed the importance of time management, setting up your environment and managing your stress levels. That means to be successful, and sometimes you have to make a sacrifice.

I could go and spend every day at a new beach, checking every inch of the country I’m in, but that will take away time investment into my business. Starting a business online to tough and requires long hours and lots of thinking and action.

I find it best to pick your wins, your favourite spots, and the unique things you want to do and be grateful that you have those opportunities.

It was a pleasure to chat with Becky, and I hope the team at Digital Nomad World enjoyed the podcast.

Should you wish to learn more about the coaching I offer, I have created a free online video training on reducing your stress by 50%, improving sleep quality, and boosting focus, energy and performance.
