- I now feel as if I have the full toolkit to manage myself and stay resilient
Kathleen is a retired police officer, national-level master’s powerlifting athlete and multilingual student from Canada.
After her diagnosis of PTSD, she felt as if she was left unequipped with all the necessary tools to manage her stress and also wanted some support with exercise recovery to ensure continued high performance.
Her initial assessment wasn’t typical of the individual stressed and burnout people I am used to coaching. I.e. current stress levels were low, and her breathing efficiency was good. However, we identified key areas of improvement using her Oura ring and set goals around improving heart rate variability, a marker of resilience and recovery, sleep quality and subjective focus and energy levels.
She signed up for my Empowered Performance Program, and by our third week., Kathleen felt fantastic with only minimal intervention.
However, in the 4th week, there was a shootout locally, and some of her close friends and ex-colleagues were involved in the incident. This triggered her stress levels and created unconscious safety concerns within her nervous system, as demonstrated in her data—something we needed to work on it for another nine weeks.
At the end of eights weeks, Kathleen had:
* 82% reduction in stress
* 45% improvement in wellness Scores, including focus, energy and clarity
* 32% increase in HRV
* Improved sleep efficiency
* Improved exercise recovery
She felt empowered and fully equipped with the tools and habits to manage herself. Every client through these programs has reached their goals and beyond, and you are empowered with tools for life.
